Given the complex and various environment where cutting tools are used these days, the improvement of machining properties and productivity of tools becomes more important, and this can be realized by improving the microstructural refinement, homogeneity, hardness, toughness, wear resistance feature.

Therefore, the industry is changed from an era of a traditional sub-grain precision tool to a new era of nano-grain precision tool.

The core technology of cutting tools is to increase the wear resistance and fracture toughness by making the WC particle size very fine and mixing the binder, Co evenly.

The nano tech material (sintered bulk) is the one made of the WC/Co composite powder using a new technology which ensures excellent hardness, toughness and wear resistance.

  The novel process is comprised of synthesizing of liquid solution, spray drying, hydrogen reduction and caburization for the purpose of the refinement and homogeneous distribution of WC particles and cobalt binder.
